Vacations–A Necessity.

Vacations represent a win-win situation both for the employer and the employee.  They are also a necessity for self-employed individuals.

Americans get a very meager number of days off per year.  Employed Americans typically earn 14 days off per year vs. 30 days in Spain and 36 days in France.

Vacations mitigate against the emotional and physical damage that stress induces.  Vacations can lower blood pressure and reduce the incidence of heart attacks.  Women who vacation more frequently have a lower rate of depression and report greater marital satisfaction.  Vacations also recharge one’s batteries and improve learning and cognitive performance.  In general, vacations lead to better health and more rejuvenating sleep.

                                        So, Bon Voyage!
